M is for Monkey...

So handsome he could have been a super model....

M is for Monkey...

Monkey was the nickname I gave to my dog, Ike. He would have been twelve this April. He really was a lucky dog. And I was lucky to have him in my life. What a blessing. Since the internet is forever, this is a little memorial for Ike, my monkey, and the best dog in the world!

He loved taking road trips...
(especially if a McDonald's hamburger was part of the deal)

his ears whipping into the winds
and riding on my parent's boat with Gunner
(the weird stalker dog in the back)...

hanging at the beach with Uncle Bodhi & surfing the waves....

chillin' out with his Uncle Jack--
(well, when Jack wasn't trying to bite his face off)...

and he loved, loved, loved, just hanging out in the grass,
rolling around and listening to nature. In fact, it was on one of these
days he inspired me to write my first book.

Ike was an awesome dog who loved all and was loved by all!

We will miss you, Monkey.

In close, here's a little MUSICAL tribute for Monkey,
brought to you by The English Beat. In honor of Ike,
change the words to Ike-ee, Ike-ee, 1-2-3.

"Someone just smiled for no special reason
It looks like the smiles come back into season
It's so easy
It doesn't have to be a nice day
Just the only one you've got and it's coming ready or not

Ike-ee 1 2 1 2 3
Ike-ee 1 2 1 2 3"

Although I now have a beautiful Bengal kitten, one day I'd like to get a new dog. My husband, however) says over his dead body. Honey, sorry, but I'm just going to have to kill you...

Kidding.

Maybe.

xxooxx

SOUND OFF: Are you more of a dog or a cat person? (Old Kitty I know where your loyalties are!) Has an animal had a profound impact on your life?

Je ne vous comprends pas
